Associate of
Science Degree in Agricultural Education Programme
The Associate degree in Agricultural
Education Programme aims to educate and train
teachers of Agriculture for the Secondary Schools in
Jamaica. CASE offers the programme in collaboration
with the Joint Board of Teacher Education (JBTE).
Students pursue the Agricultural courses as offered
to the students in the General Agriculture programme
as well as the pedagogical courses offered for the
Secondary Teaching Programme
Career Options: It is expected that all candidates
graduating from this programme will find employment
in the secondary school system, thereby satisfying
the strong demand for teachers in this specialised
field. With the critical role that agriculture plays
in the national development of the country, this is
undoubtedly an important field in which to challenge
young minds to become engaged.
