Descriptive Summary & Mandate
The
Office of International Programmes, comprising of a
Director and a Secretary, works in conjunction with
all other Divisions and Departments of CASE to
foster internationalization initiatives via the
promotion of academic and non-academic activities
with various overseas institutions and agencies.
The office was created to direct all international
activities of CASE in furtherance of our
objectives. Specifically, it is mandated to:
1.
Arrange study tours and/or faculty/student
exchanges
2.
Initiate and/or renew formal Memoranda of
Understanding with other international academic
institutions.
3.
Strengthen existing relationships with other
academic/non-academic institutions.
4.
Assist in the strategic objective to promote
and enhance the status of CASE in the international
arena.
5.
Facilitate the upgrading of faculty as it
relates to professional development opportunities
overseas.
6.
Generate foreign exchange for CASE by
facilitating the implementation of projects with
other institutions.
7.
Liaise with international organizations for
the benefit of the College.
The Tropical Agriculture Study Tour
The
Tropical Agriculture Study Tour combines exposure to
Jamaica’s agricultural industry and lectures with
recreational activities. Full details about the
tour are contained in a promotional brochure, which
is available from our Office of International
Programmes. The brochure:

Lists and provides snapshots of agricultural
organizations and recreational sites.
2.
Outlines the topics of lectures
3.
Gives full details of the contents of the
Study Tour
4.
Provides detailed answers to questions
individuals may ask as well as to further enlighten
other institutions about the advantages of the Study
Tour.
