Programme
Structure The Bachelor of
Technology has a '2+2' format. It is a two-year
specialist course that is added to the end of a two
year Associate Degree. Students pursing the B. Tech.
in Environmental Science do common courses in the
first year. In the second year, they may choose to
specialise in Environmental Protection and
Management or Ecotourism.
Career Options
Graduates of this programme may find employment in
the areas of Environmental Management, either in
public or private sectors. Graduates of the
Ecotourism Specialisation are expected to attain
leadership positions in the development of Jamaica's
Tourism Product along sustainable lines. Each
graduate is fully equipped to begin his/her own
businesses.
