Course Description

 

Diploma in Teaching - Secondary Programme (Mathematics/Computer Studies)

Objectives: The Diploma in Secondary Teaching Programme aims to educate and train teachers of Mathematics and Computer Studies for the Secondary Schools in Jamaica. CASE offers the programme in collaboration with the Joint Board of Teacher Education (JBTE).

Career Options: It is expected that all candidates graduating from this programme will find employment in the secondary school system, thereby satisfying the strong demand for teachers in this specialised field. With the critical roles that computers and information technology now play in all facets of human society, this is undoubtedly a promising field in which to pursue a career.
